The Short Works are high impact, visually arresting solo performances lasting from 5 to 15 minutes. They broadly divide into two categories - physical works (The Burlesques) and monologues (The Monologues). The current repertoire of short works is diverse, and new works are created each year.
The works are generally very physically focused, and can be performed in large or intimate venues, and on large or small stages. The works have been performed in a wide variety of venues including clubs, cabaret rooms, studio style theatres, proscenium theatres, galleries, other non theatre environments.
The works have simple and adaptable lighting and staging requirements. All the short works use recorded music, the monologues may require a standing microphone. We would be grateful for technical information about your venue, and are generally able to adapt our requirements to fit a wide variety of venues and events.
